John Deere PowerTech™ Plus MAR-1 6068 engine means more efficiency and productivity

7M Engine Package

John Deere manufactures its own engines to ensure that the performance delivered is ideal for agricultural applications.

Its high torque design and an engine power curve to react quickly to field demands result in less gear shifting and maximum productivity at the end of the day.

Engines are also compliant with emissions regulations from countries that require StageIIIa (MAR-1). The solution applied by John Deere is the best in fluid efficiency as it does not require any diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), such as Arla.

The AutoQuad™ transmission offers a variety of functions with the convenience of automatic gear shifting. This transmission contains a 16F/16R speed setting with four PowerShift speeds in each of its four ranges, capable of reaching up to 30 km/h (15 mph).

7M Series Tractors can be configured with the 1150 Series TLS front axle system. This system includes hydro-pneumatic cylinders and nitrogen accumulators that significantly increase the tractor’s pulling capacity by maintaining efficient tire-to-ground contact. This is a proven system in terms of durability, reliability, and performance. Up to 8 percent better traction compared to tractors equipped with a standard MFWD front axle.

Get better planting performance with air supply and pneumatic downforce (PDF)

The 7M Series tractors now have the air supply system developed to provide air pressure to planters equipped with PDF. The system was developed to improve energy management of the entire planting system, helping to reduce fuel consumption, a major component of the cost of production. With the air supply, the difference in fuel consumption can be up to 1.5 L/h less than an air supply installed on the planter.

The air supply provides a lower periodic maintenance cost for the customer compared to the air supply system currently installed on the planter due to the following:

The air compressor installed on the tractor uses the air filtration system from the engine.
The air compressor installed on the tractor uses engine oil for its lubrication system.

The air supply system on the tractor provides a lower cost of maintenance than the air supply system on the planter. This gives the customer a lower total acquisition cost of the air supply system for the PDF.
The air supply system on the tractor allows better energy management and results in up to 1.5 L/h lower fuel consumption.
The air gun adds more serviceability to the air brake system package, so the operator has external air pressure for cleaning and tire inflation, for example.

The 7M Series Tractors feature a complete configuration for sugar cane applications in cane haulage, seeding, and terrain preparation. When choosing the sugar cane packages, you will configure the tractor with the appropriate 3-point hitch, drawbar ball pin, John Deere 3-m (10.8-ft) front axle, air trailer brake, hand trailer brake, appropriate tires, external air gun, and the correct transmission option for your operation.

Air trailer brake, for trailer draft applications, is an option that can be configured from the factory. This braking system is connected to the tractor’s braking system and is activated whenever the tractor’s brake pedal is pressed.
The hand brake lever to engage the air trailer brake was developed so the operator has a second brake enable system to improve performance and comfort during operation.
The air trailer brake system contains an air compressor, air reservoir, hand brake lever, air lines, hoses, and connectors.
Along with the trailer brake option, an air connector was developed with a hose, blower gun, and hose bracket.
Efficient foot pedal and trailer brake system for optimum performance and safe transport.
The hand braking system improves overall performance and allows the operator to have a second braking device for brake engagement for increased comfort.
The air gun adds more serviceability to the air brake system package, so the operator has external air pressure for cleaning and tire inflation, for example.
